Forehead: With the cap on, lightly touch the probe on the forehead then press & release the button.
Ear: Remove the thermometer cap from the unit. Gently position the thermometer in the ear canal and press the button.
The temperature is displayed on the screen when the eTherm beeps.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the button for 10 secs. The current unit will appear on the display.
Continue to press the button until your desired units ºF or ºC are shown then release the button and your selected units will be saved
Only use the eTherm on the forehead or in the ear canal.
Do not take temperature after babies have been bathed or were crying to avoid inaccurate readings.
Avoid areas of bruising, ointment or perspiration on the skin
Do not take temperature near mobile phones, wireless devices, etc to avoid electromagnetic interference
